SSD signed an Authorisation Agreement with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts
In 2025, Smart Strategies and Development (SSD) signed an authorisation agreement with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, becoming the official representative of the international hotel group across Kazakhstan, Central Asia, Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and the United Arab Emirates.
Under the agreement, SSD plans to support the opening of 20 hotels over the next 10 years in collaboration with investors and international partners.
SSD develops projects through a professional hospitality development model, focusing on investment attraction, concept creation, and the comprehensive support of hotel projects with an emphasis on efficient business models and sustainable returns.
“We do not invest our own capital in hotel construction — our role lies elsewhere. SSD operates as a professional developer: we attract investment, create projects tailored to specific locations, and following a hotel’s launch, we help investors achieve returns within the shortest possible timeframe. We therefore build a system where every project is based on precise calculations, a well-structured business model, and a clear focus on profitability,” said Arslan Bisembayev.
For Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the agreement with SSD creates new opportunities for regional growth. Dimitris Manikis, President of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts for Europe, the Middle East, Eurasia and Africa, commented:
“Kazakhstan is a promising market where the share of branded hotels remains relatively low. We aim to adapt our standards to local market conditions while maintaining the quality of service. Our partnership with SSD will allow us to accelerate expansion across the region.”
Mr Manikis also emphasised that the franchise model remains open to integrating existing independent hotels into the network — an approach that has already seen successful implementation in Kazakhstan.
